What: ‘Conad’ — a supermarket in the basement of Roma Termini (Rome Central Station).

What to buy: Enter the supermarket and head straight to the back. On the left-hand side you’ll find a deli counter. There you can buy hot vegan pizza slices, one with tomato and aubergine, and the other with tomato and mushroom. These slices are kept away from any meat in the deli counter.

Prices: Cheap. Around €1.50 for a very generous slice.

Was it good? The aubergine was excellent. The mushroom will do if you’re hungry, but this reviewer strongly recommends the aubergine every time.
