What: Baked potato take-away, close to Pollock Halls.
Prices: Cheap. Baked potato with a hot filling around £3.50.
Vegetarian menu: Okay. Veggie haggis, baked beans, cheese, coleslaw salad, sweetcorn, pickle, onion, sour cream.
Drinks: Cold drinks, e.g., cans.
Service: Very good, friendly. They use different spoons, etc., for the meat and veg products.
Comfortable? It’s a take-away, but there is space for two or three people to sit.
Was the food good? This reviewer really enjoyed the baked potato with veggie haggis and baked beans. They mash the potato up first, with butter and salt, and then add the toppings. The potato was nicely done, no hard bits in the mash. Baked beans were heated in the microwave, though. It might be nicer to heat them in a pot.
Toilets: Not tested.
My advice to the chef: Perhaps introduce some other veggie options. Avocado, perhaps? Olives? Mushrooms?
My advice to the manager: As above.
Overall: A good spot to pick up a filling, veggie take-away. This reviewer will return.
